Chair Yoga

It allows traditional yoga movements to be performed from the comfort of a chair and opens the possibility of practicing this discipline to people with reduced mobility. It is a beneficial form of low-risk, low-impact exercise. The benefits of chair yoga for older adults include low impact on joints, improved flexibility, stress reduction, improved pain management, circulation, balance and combats depression and anxiety.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art that focuses on mental and spiritual integration through slow movements and calm breathing. It is a meditative and relaxing form of exercise that is very beneficial for older adults as it relieves the physical effects of stress, promotes deep breathing, reduces bone loss in menopausal women, improves lower body and leg strength, helps with arthritis pain, and lowers blood pressure, to name a few.
